A small, respectful data footprint.

LocalStash collects the information you choose to submit so a person can review and respond to your request. We do not sell submission data. We use first-party aggregate traffic counts plus Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to understand site use and improve LocalStash.

Conversion measurement

LocalStash records the source page and event type when someone opens or completes the newsletter form, begins or completes a Join form, verifies a free card download, or confirms that LocalStash was added to a device. The conversion event record does not contain an email address, raw network address or individual visitor profile. Command Center reporting shows aggregate totals and source pages.

Traffic measurement

LocalStash records a page path and timestamp for first-party aggregate reporting. That traffic record does not contain an email address, raw network address, cookie or device identifier, or individual visitor profile. Public LocalStash pages also load Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, which may receive information about the page you visit, your browser or device and related activity for measurement. Meta may also use Pixel activity for advertising purposes. Google advertising personalization and Google Signals remain disabled in our tag configuration. These third-party services do not load when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

Join submissions

When you submit a business or participation request, LocalStash stores the information you provide for human review and follow-up. This may include your name, email address, business phone number, business address, website, Facebook Page, Instagram Page and submission notes. LocalStash does not publish a submission automatically or sell submission data.

When you choose to subscribe, Beehiiv processes your email address so LocalStash can send the newsletter and manage unsubscribe requests. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.

Backroad Club downloads

LocalStash counts a verified card download once per first-party anonymous visitor cookie. Short-lived, one-way network hashes and basic interaction checks help exclude repeated or automated downloads. We do not store a raw network address or collect contact information when someone downloads the card.

LocalStash phone additions

LocalStash counts one confirmed addition per first-party anonymous visitor cookie. Supported browsers can confirm installation directly; on devices that do not report the addition, LocalStash counts it only after the Home Screen shortcut is opened. Short-lived, one-way network hashes help limit repeated or automated counts. We do not store a raw network address or collect contact information for this measurement.

Thumbs Up

LocalStash uses a first-party anonymous visitor cookie to remember a Thumbs Up and prevent repeated clicks for the same Stash. Short-lived, one-way network hashes help limit automated or purchased clicking. We do not store a raw network address with a Thumbs Up or use this signal to build an advertising profile.

Human review

Recommendations, nominations and participation requests enter a controlled review queue. They are not published automatically.
